How to Party Harajuku Style

It’s been a month since our ‘This Is Tokyo’ opening party at YO! Sushi Grainger St. To celebrate the success of our launch, we’ve put together 8 ways your can have your own Harajuku party…Let’s kickstart that Friday feeling!

1. DECORATIONS…SO KAWAII!

Decorate your venue with an explosion of colour. Pastel pink, neon yellow, mermaid blue…

2. HEAD-TO-TOE HARAJUKU

This season, RAINBOW is the new black. Harajuku-inspired fashion embraces Kawaii culture and plenty of colour. Express yourself!

3. MAKE-UP MAGIC

The number one rule? Only buy BOLD! When else can you have pink eyebrows…?

4. TOKYO TUNES

For feel-good Japanese pop music with a catchy beat, we recommend listening to ultra-popular Kyary Pamyu Pamyu (we can see where Katy Perry got inspiration!)

Want something a little more UK Top 40? Check out Steve Aoki for electro-house party-starters!

5. IT’S SUSHI TIME

Sharing is caring! Get the biggest selection of sushi with our Tokyo-to-Share platters, available for collection or delivery. ORDER HERE

6. COCKTAILS GALORE

Tokyo Mojito

Japanese twist on a classic. Sake (we recommend Hakushika), Ramune soda, mint and fresh lime.

Kiwi-lini

Prosecco and kiwi juice. Simple but delicious!

7. CATCH IT ALL ON POLAROID

Pass a Fujifilm Instax camera around the room and let your guests take the photos. These make great party favours too!

Pop to your local YO! Sushi for a range of Japanese snacks. Perfect for guests with a sweet-tooth!
